It’s lovely to meet you..

I am going to skip the small talk and go straight to the stuff that changes lives. It’s true, our greatest challenges do often become our greatest offerings if we let them. I share that, because that’s where my story begins of becoming a coach, and sharing in this deep passion to work with others who are on a similar path.

I don’t know about you, but for me I experienced my first real struggles with anxiety around the age of eight. I didn’t know what was going on, why I felt the way I did, and neither did the people who were taking care of me, my parents. It continued on and off like this for many years, up until I reached age 18 and everything began to really spill out. I found myself in a psychiatrists office, being given medication I’d never heard of before, and terrified of what it might do for me.

It was from these moments on that another chapter of my life began to unfold of making a deep commitment to myself to understand the anxiety I was experiencing and more importantly, uncovering the truth of myself underneath all of the obsessive thinking, heightened heart rate, intrusive thoughts, and other debilitating experiences of anxiety.

I remember literally telling myself, “There is no way this is it, there’s no way there isn’t another experience of life available to me.”

Now, nine years later I can say that I have certainly remained true to my commitment with now feeling more at home in myself than ever before. It’s this feeling, I know now, that we are all really pursuing, the experience of being deeply connected with who we authentically are.

I have taken the journey, and continue to today, with eight years of daily meditation under my belt, a variety of coaches and therapists inspiring and educating me, multiple breakdowns and breakthroughs, many many books, and an army’s worth of like-minded community supporting me along the way.

It’s been a journey, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

It’s not what happens to us, but rather, how we respond that matters.
