A Hallows’ Eve Gathering
Where all past versions of you get to come out to play.
Halloween gives us permission to step outside of the familiar—to play, experiment, and explore the many versions of ourselves that live within us.
The Inner Child’s Halloween Party is an evening of curiosity, connection, and playful self-exploration where any past, present, future—or completely imaginary—version of you gets to come out and play.
We’ll eat sweet treats, offer blessings to the neighborhood trick-or-treaters, connect with the like-minded community on the same path as you, and play games that’ll surely leave you laughing.
But there’s one invitation:
Come as a version of you.
Not simply a costume or character—although it certainly can be—but some expression of yourself you’d like to let out for the night.
Maybe it’s…
Your shadow self — the part of you you usually hide
Your inner child — the one who loved painting but never got to do it
Your alter ego — the version of you who used to dance at nightclubs with your friends in college
Your past self — the twelve-year-old you who you’ve always adored
Your future self — who your inner child always wanted to become
Your fantasy self — who you daydreamed about being in fourth grade
Or simply: “This is just what felt like me.”
There’s no right way to interpret the theme.
Your costume can be meaningful, absurd, nostalgic, mysterious, beautiful, ridiculous—or completely unserious.
The invitation is simply to express, play, and connect.
And because food tells a story, too…
This will be a shared potluck experience. Bring a dish that feels connected to you or the version of yourself you’re bringing to the party.
It could be:
A family recipe
A favorite childhood candy
A snack from your culture
Something you always eat
Something that represents your personality
Something connected to your costume
Something completely ridiculous that you love
Nothing elaborate is required. Just bring something that feels like yours.
We simply ask that you label your dish with its ingredients and common allergens so everyone can participate comfortably.
One night. Many selves.
Come curious.
Come playful.
Come nostalgic.
Come strange.
Come as someone you’ve been, someone you’re becoming, or someone you’ve never given yourself permission to be.
Come curious. Come playful. Come as one of your many selves.
